St. Kitts and Nevis engages GG-One with regards to the country?s coming renewable energy approach: The Government of St Kitts and Nevis in collaboration with the Organisation of American States (OAS) and other global partners such as UNF, UNIDO and others, has recently conducted a major consultation on the development of renewable energy sources, particularly bio-fuel, in St Kitts and Nevis. The Norwegian and Swedish based company GG-One has made a proposal for production of electrical energy and ethanol using 4000-5000 acres of sugar lands.
The Government now stands ready to engage GG-One in respect of the proposal to produce renewable energy in St Kitts and Nevis and the company is ready to commence the feasibility study and address all necessary issues in going forward in this project.
